Borrowed from [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn (her results here):

I've made a list of fifteen (15) characters from a variety of fandoms.  Your job is to ask questions about various combinations of these characters (examples: What secret past do #8 and #14 share?  What if #2, #6, and #9 went on a road trip?  If #5 and #10 were having dinner, who invited who?), which I'll do my best to answer.

Notes:
Obviously, one shouldn't peek indiscriminately at the comments thread before posing a question, as there will be spoilers for who's where on the list as the game progresses.

OTOH, if some numbered characters are consistently overlooked, questions concerning these yet-unknown characters are encouraged so as to give everyone on the list a chance at the limelight.

Given the diversity of the list, there's definite potential for generating highly weird and improbable pairings based on the direction of the questions.  Management will do its best to respond to all queries posed, but reserves the right to designate some results Just Too Bizarre To Contemplate.

Let the game begin!

Borrowed, per below, from [livejournal.com profile] cadhla (original text partially rewritten and personalized):

What's a Fanfic Advent Calendar?
An advent calendar counts down the days from December 1st to Christmas in some fashion. Many come with little verses inside, some come with little chocolate candy in them. I, being easily amused and too easily suborned to the silly side, have borrowed [livejournal.com profile] cadhla's idea of writing a drabble a day till Christmas.

What fandom?
Multi-fandom.

Uh...how does that work?
Every day will have a fandom, a title, and a character or pairing. These will be taken from the comments on the previous drabble. If a drabble receives no comments suggesting the next day, I'll just come up with something. Suggestions do need to have a holiday theme; this is, after all, a countdown to Christmas.

So if I comment first, I can tell you what to write?
Not quite. Whatever is suggested has to interest me, and it has to be in a fandom I know. (My "interests" list includes most of the fan-universes I'm willing to play in, but it's early and I may have forgotten something, so don't take it as a hard limit.) I'll go back over the previous day's comments when I get ready to write the next day's drabble, and work from there. I may or may not, depending on the level of comment -- this being a very new LJ -- store up ideas from early days' comments for later use; we'll see how that works as the volume develops.

How are you doing today?
By looking at any comments I get on this entry, of course (although I may just dive in, too).

Can I do this, too?
By all means! Just let me know, so I can wander over and . . . suggest . . . things.
