I am woefully behind here in this journal with respect to the fic exchanges I've been a part of this year (Holmestice, of course, also Crossovering, and I tried for Remix Revival but suffered an intervention of life). Heck, I actually still have last year's Yuletide to post about...
...but none of that is actually why I'm typing right now.
Just now, I want to note that I will be at OryCon this weekend (I know, much too short notice for anyone not already tuned in, but see above title). And there are a couple of specific panels at this year's convention that I might have had something to do with suggesting:

Now there's always been a certain amount of crossover between the SF/F community and Holmesian fandom, but in the past couple of years OryCon has become noticeably more welcoming to fanfic writers and fans, and that's something I thought worth mentioning here. If anyone else from the local crowd happens to be attending OryCon, do speak up, and perhaps we can find time to meet up / hang out in the course of the weekend.
